Keep the Fire Burning š„ | Sustaining the Fire of God - Week 5
Share
There is a difference between experiencing the fire of Godā¦
And maintaining it.
Over the past few weeks, we have encountered His holiness, experienced His presence, been filled with His Spirit, and allowed that fire to flow through us.
But now the question isā¦
Ā š What will you do to keep the fire burning?
š„ The Fire Must Be Maintained
Leviticus 6:13 says:
āThe fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously, it must not go out.ā
This was not a suggestion,
it was a command.
The priests had a responsibility to tend the fire daily.
In the same way, we have a responsibility to tend the fire in our own lives.
Throughout Scripture, the fire of God was never meant to be temporary, but sustained through daily devotion and obedience.
(Leviticus 6:12ā13)
š„ā¾ From Moment to Lifestyle
The fire of God was never meant to be a momentā¦
It is meant to become a lifestyle.
That means:
š Consistent prayer
š Time in the Word
š Daily surrender
š Ongoing obedience
This is not about being perfect,
it is about consistency and a willing heart.
š± Guarding Your Environment
If the fire is going to remainā¦
You must be intentional about what surrounds you.
The condition of your heart matters.
Jesus taught this in the parable of the sower.
Some seed fell on hard ground,
some among thorns,
some on shallow soilā¦
But the seed that fell on good ground produced fruit.
The seed represents the Word of God,
the ground represents the condition of our hearts.
When our hearts are open, receptive, and protectedā¦
The fire remains and produces fruit.
ā ļø When the Fire Is Not Guarded
We also see what happens when the fire is not protected.
Samson was called and anointed by God.
But he did not guard his environment or his decisions.
Over time, what was placed within him was compromised by what he allowed around him.
The fire was still availableā¦
But he did not protect what God had given him.
šš½ A Moment of Reflection
Take a moment and ask yourself:
⢠Am I tending to my relationship with God daily
⢠What am I allowing into my environment that could be affecting my fire
⢠Is my heart positioned as good ground for God to move
š„ Practical Ways to Keep the Fire Burning
Here are a few simple but powerful ways to remain consistent:

š„ Your life will continue to grow
š„ Your relationship with God will deepen
